A SECURE OPERATING ENVIRONMENT
There are several levels of oversight and control for the poppy industry in Australia, including:
International
Australia is a signatory to the 1961 Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs. The International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) was established by the convention and monitors and supports compliance with the convention.

Australian Government
The Australian Government implements Australia's international obligations through the Narcotic Drugs Act 1967.
State & Territory Governments
State and Territory governments also play a role in regulating the poppy industry, including the growing and processing of poppies and the manufacturing of narcotic raw material.

In addition to establishing best practice production facilities, Palla Pharma has a history of involvement in community projects.
